Tomboy's Pleasure To Lolita Dress

People always feel worried when they change their usual image into completely different version. They are afraid they look weird as the perceptions around your image, even in the slightest and between family members and close friends. If so, it is easy to imagine what is the reaction to a tomboy wearing so girly Lolita dress?

Actually, no matter how boyish you are, once you dress up in adorable Lolita, everything is out of your expectation. Lolita fashion can make you feel many things. It can make you feel like a princess. It can make you feel like there are only you. It can make you feel girly and pretty and everything good that you ever wish for. I don't intend to advertise for Lolita fashion and only want to share pleasure from my a best friend who is really boyish, however, is exciting and can't help crying when wearing a sweet Lolita dress. I think she never thought she can look so girly. That is the reason why she cried.

My view is it is your right whatever you wear and never make a haste decision before trying a certain style. Don't casually say you don't suit the style.

Generally, classic Lolita dress is categorized into two styles. Each one of these two styles has its own characteristic. If you are a fan of classic Lolita fashion, please first know about which style suits you the best.

As the above image shown, the style is a lot more traditional or more Victoria-styled, usually applying to brown or dark blue or dark red as the color mainstream. Besides, this type of classic Lolita dress is the most elegant and classy.

When Punk Fashion Meets Lolita Style

It was all known punk fashion is usually characterized by pins, metallic and dark color. In all, everything always expresses us with "COOL" or "COLD" feeling. Many punks use clothing as a way of making a statement of personality. However, punk fashion is absolutely popular around the world and has great influence on many styles of groups.

When it comes to cute and girly fashion, I think no any other fashion style can be on a par with Lolita fashion. With lace, ruffles and puffy skirt, Lolita fashion always can capture the soul of many girls.

When punk meets Lolita, I am not sure they can beat heavily each other with bright spark, but the combination balances "too-cold" of punk fashion and "too-girly" perfectly. So punk Lolita is relatively more mature than other Lolita styles. Punk Lolita fashion is characterized by lack of tailoring, dark contrasted with bright colors, prints like skulls and tartans, and aggressive accessories like studs and spikes. Although Lolita is about looking young and feminine, part of it is a rebellion against mainstream clothing that would make a girl blend in with the crowd, and this is the spirit that punk Lolitas taps into.

EGL or EGA?

Have you known about the difference between Elegant Gothic Lolita and Elegant Gothic Aristocrat if you call yourself a fanatic of gothic lolita fashion? If not, come with me to study the basics of EGL and EGA.

Elegant Gothic Lolita, sometimes shortened to EGL, is an off-shoot Lolita fashion popularized by Japanese musician and fashion designer Manna, featuring darker make-up and clothing. Be worthy of noticing, the name "EGL" applies only to clothes in the Gothic Lolita style, not Lolita fashion in general, which is commonly mistaken as the blanket term for Lolita fashion and Gothic Lolita in Western Lolita culture.

Another term EGA or Elegant Gothic Aristocrat differs from EGL. EGA is the style imitating mostly the mature of decadence of the late Victorian era, with emphasis on simplicity and elegance, sometimes consisting of black and white, dark colors and natural tones with delicate detailing, lace trimmings, which is completed with black, clunky boots and heavy makeup.

EGL differs from EGA in that it is an androgynous line of fashion that caters to both sexes and is generally considered to be more mature counterpart. Otherwise, compared with EGL, Elegant Gothic Aristocrat is less lacy and of layer with too puffy skirt, a little similar to classic Lolita.
